# Summary
This is a skilled position where the employee will complete a variety of payroll, human resources, bookkeeping, and customer service activities.
# Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Accurately and proficiently completes daily payroll activities including but not limited to data entry, verifying and confirming certified payroll, balancing payroll records and reports, ensures proper taxing is applied, and makes certain submitted timesheets are accurate and free of errors.
Prepares new hire correspondence and completes all on-boarding activities including the creation of personnel files.
Precisely records and updates an assortment of employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination data in a variety of systems (Viewpoint, Benefit Solver, Fidelity, Etc.).
Completes E-Verify, background screenings, and MVR processing for all new hires.
Actively seeks opportunities to improve daily processes.
Assist in administration of employment application system and assists in other employment activities.
Update employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.
Help employees with initial benefit enrollment and annual benefit changes during open enrollment.
Compile data from various information and prepare reports.
Help administer DOT, I-9, and other human resource processes.
Answer phone calls and assist customers with questions.
Prepares and mails contracts with company safety packets.
Updates various subcontractor checklists and ensures subcontractor compliance prior to their startup including but not limited to PIC's compliance status, contract and safety compliance signatures, verifies minimum insurance coverage compliance, certificate of Workers' Compensation insurance, payment and performance bonds, and Wyoming Department of Revenue Non-Residency filings.
Attend weekly company scheduling meetings.
Enter project progress updates in Viewpoint.
Run and prepare various weekly reports for management staff distribution.
Help department with special projects as needed.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
# Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Highly detail oriented with ambition to improve mundane daily processes.
Able to interact professionally with employees, vendors, and government entities.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook. Minimum typing speed of 60wpm.
Standard Driver's License required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
